hi, i'm new to this site. my brother recommended me using these forums because i am creating my first desktop computer meant for gaming, and he said i could get a lot of help from here.... let's see if that's true!

now, remember this. this is my first computer i've ever put together, so please be nice if i have something stupid i left out or if something is not compatible with something else. thanks!

I really hope you're going to overclock that E5200 cus you're going to need that extra speed in most modern games.

Also you don't need 1066 memory to overclock that E5200 and since it seems you're not getting an aftermarket cooler, it doesn't look like you're going to overclock it a lot so mine as well go for better memory than the one you chose and get some good quality 800 memory.

First, that Wintec RAM is not on the QVL for your MB.
Get memory from THIS LIST.

Second, don't OC that system until you get EVERYTHING functioning and STABLE.

That CPU sucks.
The E5xxx series is a budget line with a severe lack of cache memory, just like a Celeron. They generally suck for gaming. Anandtech - the E5200 will bottleneck Far Cry 2 to a maximum of 30 fps. That's a game today. What happens when you want to play a game released 6 months from now?
