Hey guys this is my first gaming pc build. My budget is roughly 1000, and heres what I have come up with. Please let me know if (1) all these parts will work together with the motherboard etc and (2) if i should spend more money on certain parts and or less on others. I tried to go pretty cheap, im not made of money lol. I play Starcraft 2, left 4 dead 2, and eventually diablo 3! (when it comes out) Let me know if i have the right idea. I spent the most money on the monitor bc i plan on using it for my blu ray as well as gaming.

I would probably go with a better brand than CoolerMaster for the PSU. Other than that, I can't find anything glaringly wrong with those parts.

After the PSU, any way that you can afford a 5770 instead?

Btw, what resolution will you be playing games in? That determines how powerful you need to make your video card.

If it's going to be 1920x1080 (the native res of that monitor) then you will definitely need a stronger card than the 5670.

For a gaming build you'll be disappointed with that GPU.

If you're really tight move the CPU to an AMD x4 945+mobo and use the money for a GTX 460 1GB.

and the 460 will be compatable with everything i have currently? what brand would u recommend

ASUS and EVGA have some good ones (don't get the EVGA with the "blower"-style cooler though it sucks). Also make sure you get the 1GB model.

If you need to make some room in your budget, you can easily go with an Athlon II X4 635 or a Phenom II X4 955 and an 870 motherboard like the GA-870A-UD3
