Hi everyone, I hoping for some tips as well as for specific answers.
Building a case out of .0625" diamond plate aluminum. First question, is this thick enough? #2 Is a dremel all i need to make cut outs (assuming I'm not gonna buy a jig saw or other major equipment)?
I'm looking at the Lian Li PC 30 Mobo tray available at pcmods.com but I need help in terms of measurement, how far from the side etc. The reason for this is that I may have the supplier cut the Aluminum for me and I would need to give him detailed specs. The biggest thing I need to know is how far from the side wall does the tray sit...and the the dimentsions on the tray.
My idea for the case, for those interested, is somewhat of a bottom feeder. I'm putting a divider about 9cm from the bottom with a 120mm fan blowing air up. On the bottom 9cm of the sides of the case, there will be rows of cut out symbols (haven't decided what they will be) with filters behind all. This way I will be creating a large enough area (about 400 cm^2) for air to pass through filters and not affect the fan. This should resolve the loss of cfm due to serious filters. I'll have a 120mm over the cpu (zalman fan bracket) and a 120mm exit...Clean, Quiet, and Effective is the goal.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
