This Saturday, there will be 56,000 fans watching a hockey game on a makeshift rink set in the middle of a football field in Edmonton. First old timers, then the current day Canadiens vs. Oilers right after.

Though there were 56,000 tickets sold, there were 700,000 ticket requests.
 
I can't wait! I have seen a couple of college games played outside (including UM/MSU), but this is going to be insane.
 
Holy crap, if I knew about that I would have requested tickets! Wait, where's Edmonton? Nevermind. What time is the game?
 
it will be frickin freezing for spectators..-10C or so isn't bad when you're moving around, but you get cold in a hurry when you're just standing around at that temperature
