Well, I am thinking that bush only only allowed "USELESS" cells. If you remember correctly they were frozen and were not very good quality. Now it's just WIDE open so. I'm thinking it does have an impact.

Oh it will. Only now can they put the wheels of real research in motion.....

This is not the first stem cell trial in humans - it's the first embryonic stem cell trial in humans. It's based off of technology developed in studies on rat spinal cords using rat stem cells by a guy who was here at WashU, but moved to Johns Hopkins about four years ago. I wonder which university will get the licensing moneys.
