First Drive: 2005 Land Rover LR3

Who owns Landrover/Rangerover now? Isn't it some US car manufaturer and they said this year they would make all the new models based off of some American truck body? Basically taking away all the Rover off road charm and making it just a truck with a new shell?

They are owned by Ford now (as is Volvo and Jaguar). This is not based on any American Truck platform that I am aware of.
