That TDI motor sounds pretty darn impressive!
Can't imagine a V10 TDI in a big SUV like that, but I'm sure it'll sell. Those specs sound good it the frame can handle it.

Or, you could wait until the first quarter of the 2004 calendar year when VW brings its 5.0-liter V10 turbodiesel to the U.S. Likely to be more expensive than the V8, the big TDI promises to deliver the best performance ? 308 hp at 4,000 rpm and a crushing 553 lb-ft of torque ? and the best fuel economy (mileage is supposed to be in the 20s).

Its a freakin BEAST! I WANT ONE NOW!

Also, I read somewhere that the new V10s have been chipped already and are well over 600ft/lbs. Forget where I read it. Quite a competitor to the North American diesels if VW could make a truck!

i LOVE the look of this but i really would prefer it to seat 6.

From the looks of this pic it looks to me like the audi has 3 rows of seats. does the VW also have 3 rows? if so, this is DEFINITELY on my short list for my next vehicle.

I just happened to go by the local VW dealership tonight.....they had two of them in!!!! The offroad gray V6 and a black V8 one. Totally awesome.
