Looks too much like the 'luxury' cars the gov't officials would drive in those old Kung Fu or Godzilla movies!

AHAHHAHAHAH the car weighs 4100 pounds and has a 195 horsepower engine. Whoo hoo better not get whiplash when you hit the throttle. POS. $25k for a KIA? Please.

The Kia looks like an unlikely contender. Too many questions about long-term reliability and value.

Kia's reliability ratings are horrendous. I would easily take a Hyundai over a Kia (even though they are part of the same company).

And what's with the DIRECT ripoff styling? I've always wondered, do the people at Kia really think they can fool people into believing their cars are Mercedes/Jaguars?

My sentiments exactly. KIA has truly mastered the art of turd-polishing.

Looks like they took the ass end off of a 98 Ford Contour.

Whatever. It'll still be a KIA.

i guess they used rols royce as their model to rip off. yea sure the engine produces 195 hp. but how much of that goes to the wheels? i bet drivetrain loss is huuuge

A few years back when Kia had some financial troubles, their cars would lose up to 40% of their value in the first year alone. not sure how things are now, but I'm sure it wasn't a significant improvement.

Kia's may be ok if you buy a two-year old (let someone else take the hit) drive it for a couple of years, and sell cheap when the warranty expires and you think you can have some expense.
