First day of Jury Duty...

So today I went down to the criminal courts building to serve as a juror and my day when like this:

8:30 AM Roll Call.

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM Watched TV in the break room waiting to be selected.

12:30PM - 2:00PM Went to lunch.

2:00PM - 3:30PM Again, watched TV in the break room waiting to be selected.

3:30PM Told to go home and return tomorrow.

Nope, I receive a full day's pay from my employer for every day I'm at Jury Duty

That sucks. I did jury duty a couple of years ago and loved it, but then again I got assigned to a pretty cool 3 day criminal case before lunch on the 1st day. Waiting sucks.

12:00PM:Lunch

1:00PM: Stared at the wall

3:30PM: They told us to go home and we're exempt from jury duty for another year since we didn't get selected the first day

I got called for a suit over a septic system, 1/2 day answering questions about if I'd ever seen a septic system, taken a dump in one etc...

Then they didn't select me
