First day in the dorms...

Moved in to the dorms yesterday and so far so good. Roommate seems like a good enough guy? I?m looking forward to a good year. Anyway we had a dorm wide meeting to discuss rules and policies?

Head Residential Coordinator: The female dormitory will be out-of-bounds for all male students, and the male dormitory to the female students. Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined $25 the first time. Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined $50. Being caught a third time will incur a hefty fine of $100. Are there any questions?

I'm hoping you're paraphrasing and opposite sex visitors AREN'T completely banned?

EDIT: I'm re-reading the OP, and I think it's a joke...right? Consider me humor-challenged if that's the case. If it wasn't meant as a joke, that raises a great big WTF from me.

My dorm was co-ed, girls just couldn't be on the guys floor after like....9pm or something and vica versa. I had a good roommate and made some great friends. Moved out into the student ghetto after frosh year because so did all the friends I made, and we all wanted to be roomates.

ah college....good times.

I wanna go back.

Wow. My freshman year I lived in the dorms, and I started going out with the girl right across the hall from me. Technically her bedroom was closer to my bedroom than my own kitchen was.
