First cover song with the new guitar

gorcorps

aka Brandon
About a week ago I got this guitar:

and have been recording with it. Finished my first cover today to see how it sounds and handles. I covered "Reroute to Remain" by In Flames. It's only the guitar and it's not produced and mixed but still sounds better than most of my stuff usually does.

Here's a pretty low quality original for comparison: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...KhSgyA&feature=related

And mine: http://home.comcast.net/~gorco...toremain(complete).mp3

Almost 5 years maybe? I honestly can't remember. I got my first guitar as a Christmas gift and started screwing around with it. I didn't really play it that often for the first year or so but I got to know a couple others who played so I got a bit more serious.

It's honestly not a great song all in all, but I've always liked the intro and verse and the solo was about the right difficulty for me. IMO the chorus in that song is god awful.
