The first computer game I bought was Army Men and it was a blast to play.

The flamethrower was the best weapon. I love to watch the enemy melt. :)

Can't remember the name, but it was a game where you went up a mountain collecting items and such.

if you count a pong machine to hook to the tV , then pong

if you are talking a computer software game on floopy disk, then the oldest i can remember is olympic decathlon or maybe apple panic, about 1980 or 1981

My parents bought all the games for the Apple IIc, so I can't count those. The first couple Nintendo games I bought were Legend of Zelda and Metroid. One of the first PC games I remember buying was King's Quest VI.
I also bought the Koshan Conspiracy a bit later (anyone remember it?)... that game had a lot of cool ideas and potential, but it just wasn't executed very well.

I brought a 3 pack of Simcity 2000, Blade Runner and Wing Commander (forgot which one). I spent the entire summer and then some playing those awesome games :)

Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception for my Tandy 1000 HX, which ran at an amazing 4.11MHz with 640KB of RAM and no HD... but it had EGA graphics :D

First game I bought was called Arcade Classics (or something like that). It had paratrooper, space invaders, qbert, and a couple others i can't remember right now. Man, sometimes I miss those days with the 5 and 1/4 inch floppies, having to reboot to play a game... Funky blue and red colors.... Man those were the days

An old text based game called "Adventure" back in the early 80s.

We had pong in the late 70s, but I thought the OP meant "computer games" as in PC type stuff.

Ehhh...I don't think the Atari computer (yes, Atari briefly made computers with Alan Alda starring the TV ads) counts but we got Pole Position for it.

My first real computer with a real computer game was D&D: Pool of Radiance. The game included the fun feature of swapping out 5.25" floppy discs every 2 minutes.
