people get cavities later on in life from lack of flossing.

My first was at 20... actually he said it technically wasn't a cavity, but a spot where a cavity may form so he had it filled. I think it's BS, but my parents (and their insurance) paid for it.

23 and just started flossing😛

First one when I was 17. I was beyond pissed. Being the worst brusher in the world, I never got a cavity before, so I was surprised as well when I finally got it at the age of 17. Now I know what to do to avoid it....

Bad teeth run in my family.

I've probably had 10 or 15 cavities in my life.

LOL i don't think that's genetics! Just bad brushing. Use an electric toothbrush.

I believe it is genetic to a certain extent.

I have a brother that has had 10 or 15 like that person. He lives in an area that believe flouride is evil, on the other hand I live in an area where flouride is still added. When I get my teeth cleaned, I insist on a flouride treatment too (they were saying some stuff about for kids only - but I told em I'd find another dentist, and they ponied up the cap of flouride treatment). . .

I brush every day. This all happened when I was a kid and on well water. Now that I have flouridated water, I've only had one since I was about 10.
