It's dated way back April 1, 2010. It reminds me of the April Fool's prank they pulled at AMDZone, I can't say if it's exactly the same thing because it's been taken down at AMDZone due to JFAMD getting angry they dropped his name in a prank and could have cost him his job.

EDIT: Haha damn, yeah, Gaia's fast!

Good lord are we really starting this phase of the hype-cycle already? Bulldozer won't be out for another year. Tape-out to product shipping is pretty much one year. Are we really going to subject ourselves to 12 months of bulldozer hype like we did with Phenom/Barcelona?

Anything BD related in the next 9 months will either be fake or irrelevant because it won't be on retail steppings or production microcode/bios/chipset/etc.

AMD should come out with 32nm/28nm versions of the Phenom II X6 up to 4Ghz for AM3 motherboards in 2011 IMHO.

Cross your fingers. I'm thinking " fat chance " but in all honesty they're going to need it if their next product is a year away from launch .... especially with 32nm chips already available from Intel.

Wouldn't be the first time we've had some down time from AMD though, but I doubt any layperson would need more than a 4 or 6 core AMD part for some time to come anyway.

I'd imagine so. Ever since the original Phenom flopped out on the market AMD/fans have been touting Bulldozer as being the next K8, the Jesus chip that will allow AMD to control the high-end market.

I remember following Barcelona's launch carefully, excited on what it would bring to the table since it was the next "Big thing" from AMD. What a disappointment. I think ever since then I have had a more relaxed stance on waiting for new hardware, if it comes out it comes out. If it flops, it flops.
