My first build is installing xp home right now.

Specs
antec sonata
seagate 120GB 8MB ide
shuttle an35n
amd xp mobile 2400+ 35 watt
msi xp9800 (9800pro)
1024MB mushkin basic

Question: I was anxious to get going and forgot the mulitplier/fsb settings for this cpu. Well, stock is 13.5 x 133 right? I am installing at like, 166 x 11 i think, will this affect anything?

should be ok, or rather should be faster than it woul dbe otherwise.

if it starts mis-behaving, first thing to do is put it to correct settings

:)

Usually you can just pick your proper CPU bus speed and the board will get the multiplier handled for you. But it looks like you're wringing a cool 2200Mhz out of it, so that's even better :cool:

The mobile chip I have isn't recognized by the board properly, so I had to set all of that fun stuff up. I recommend not installing overclocked normally, but the mobiles are a bit different. :)

Thanks, it's running at 11.5 x 200 at 1.65 right now. 12 x 200 gave errors immediately in prime95 at 1.65v, and I don't think I need to go any higher on the voltage.

Oh- my msi card is running at 400MHz stock, has that already be seen?

3dmark2001 = 17,644 at 2.3GHz btw, haven't run 2003 yet
