My last build is in my sig from back in 2010, still alive and kicking. I wanted to build a new system and my wife needed a new PC so I decided to build her a Trinity based system as she can benefit from a fast CPU and moderately quick GPU. I have been extremely pleased with the result and the A10-5800K has exceeded all my expectations. This is probably the best "general use" desktop I have ever used. Specs:

AMD A10-5800K | ASUS F2A85-V Pro | G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 2133 | Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3 90GB | Antec Solo | SeaSonic M12II 620W | ZALMAN CNPS10X OPTIMA | Dell U2412M 24" IPS | Windows 7 Enterprise 64

To start with, I can't believe how quiet this system is and how cool it runs. I've only got three fans in the system. 120 MM exhaust, 120 MM in the PSU and 120MM on the CPU cooler. The CPU likes to sit around 22C and loaded gets up to about 32C. No, she's not doing anything super intense but she's not your average user either. I've seen the CPU go as low as 19C and it's dead silent.

Everything came up the first try which is always a bonus (take your time and do it right).

8 seconds from power on to Windows login screen. That's impressive.

Overall I can't say enough good about the system. She loves it and I can tell it's a solid, stable system that's going to last her a long time.

What voltage you getting 32c full load on ? Also isnt your CPU fan loud as a jet
also you should have gotten 16GB kit for yourself.

Back to your wife. I dont believe 8 seconds from power on. More like post comes up you wait 3 seconds pass then PLus I bet you have nothing on your startup not a lot of apps launch when winblows starts up, I believe 15 seconds,, not 8 my friend. This is on a clean install its gonna get bloated cuz thats how PC is, and that 15 seconds will be 20 seconds.........
winblows loads,, so your already at 3 or 4 ,,,,

I admit to being a lousy picture taker.

Approaching 60 days on this build. Zero problems so far. This is probably the best general use PC I have built/used. It doesn't have the graphical horsepower of my system but it's really very good for what it is.

I decided to install New Vegas for fun today (wife out of town... :D ) and it runs very well at 1920x1200.

I still can't get over how cool and quiet this system runs. You cannot hear it.

I didn't notice your thread back when you originally posted it, sorry about the belated response :(

AMD A10-5800K | ASUS F2A85-V Pro | G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 2133 | Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3 90GB | Antec Solo | SeaSonic M12II 620W | ZALMAN CNPS10X OPTIMA | Dell U2412M 24" IPS | Windows 7 Enterprise 64

Given your system specs, which are impressive btw, the one that sticks out to me as "over-kill" is the PSU.

Why a 620W PSU for a system that probably pulls 40W in active-idle desktop browsing and maybe at best tops out at 180W if you did something silly like run LinX as a hobby?

I only ask because (1) seasonic 620W surely cost some coin, and (2) the PSU efficiency would have been better for you had you gone with something that was centered on your power range (saving you more coin over time).

Don't get me wrong, I have a ridiculous 850W AX850 PSU attached to a system that pulls 300W on its worst of days too. Spent $100 more than I needed to on that :\

To start with, I can't believe how quiet this system is and how cool it runs.

Nice  Quiet is golden :)

I had a computer that sat on carpet flooring once and if there was one thing I'd recommend you do here is find something to stick between your computer and that carpeting, just to elevate it and get it away from the carpeting fibers that are being drawn in with the air. Get elevated by 3 or 4 inches is all it takes. Otherwise your HSF is going to look like it sucked in a cat or squirrel in a year or two.

And you do take good picture, don't knock yourself

Thanks!

For the Seasonic... build quality, quietness, longevity, future capacity... I typically don't skimp on the "supporting equipment" like the case, PSU, etc. ;) $80.00 USD with free shipping. I've never had a Seasonic die *knock on wood* in about 8 years of using them. It's definitely a premium item.

For the carpet, normally I'd agree but this system ingests so little air I'm not too worried about it. The system in my sig on the other hand, sits 3.5' off the ground on my desk and I still end up vacuuming off the air-inlet screens every 30 days or so. :)
