First build Please HELP!!!

evga 780i motherboard
evga 8800 gt vidieo card
4 gigs corsair xms2 ddr2 800 4-4-4-12
150GB rapter
vista 64
intel Q6600

Every thing went great bios booted loaded vista then loaded nvidia 8800GT drivers, restart then no vidieo! I can only get it to load vista on safe mode. I didn't load the CD with the motherboard drivers I heard people were having trouble with the drivers.
Can anyone help!
 
What type of power supply are you using? ...definitely I would load MB drivers unless someone has had other experiences with this MB...
 
I have Antec 1ooo true power Quattro, I have since installed the evga drivers still no video after BIOS posts with no errors reported
 
I moved the monitor DVI to the other conector now video is working, I thought it didn't matter which side that you conected!
 
It doesn't. You may have just had a loose cable. I've had it happen before, even though I'd swear I'd plugged it in well the first time.
