I'm getting ready to do my first build. I have the Intel BadAxe 2 mobo, and I'm getting the E6700 processor to go with it. I've narrowed my choices for the cooler to one of the following:

Scythe SCNJ-1100P Ninja PLUS Rev "B"
Thermalright SI-128;
Zalman CNPS9700 LED; and
Zalman CNPS9500-LED.

I'm interested in feedback as to their performance - cooling and noise level.

Read the relivent reviews stickied here, good comparisons at madshrimps.be.

The Zalmans are far too heavy for my liking, get a SI-120 with a 50cfm fan. :thumbsup:

The scythe mine is a very good value @ $35 newegg shipped.
It is ~the same performance as the si-120, ninja, tt big typhoon etc.... for less!
The zalmans are overpriced. Nothin' else to it.
If you want a little extra performance out of any sink, I suggest replacing the fan with a papst 120x25mm fan. They are like $5, and work great. Like GY said though, anything over 50-60 is overkill.
