So i finished building my pc and it didnt boot. The computer turns on, but the monitor simply says No Input Signal and goes to sleep. It powers fine, all fans run and led lights come on. I tried resetting the cmos, no luck. I checked the monitor connections and nothing. I checked connections inside, like the pwrsw and resetsw and that didnt help. What else should i do, what could be the problem? Any help would be great.

Try switching the inputs on the video card. If that doesn't work then you'll want to start wiht the basics. Break the system down to just the basics. CPU, Video card, single DIMM of RAM. It sometimes helps to unplug and replug in everything. Often a card looks and feels like its seated correctly but when reseated it all of a sudden works properly.

I agree with daniel49, usually this is cause by the graphics card not being seated properly. Also, is your gpu in the top PCIe slot?

Yes it is in the top slot. What significance would that have? Im gonna start breaking it down after work, going step by step like you guys recommended. Im hoping its something i overlooked and not a bad piece of hardware. Never easy though, the first computer i built about 4 years ago started up fine but I had to get around the Windows XP boot disk issue, where it couldnt recognize sata hardrives. I'll let everyone know how it goes
