Successfully started-up my first ever build last night... what a joy!!! vista-64 posted a score of 5.3, whatever that means... i am just too thrilled to think abt it for now!
i still have 2 issues to resolve though...
1) i am running vista-64 on a Raptor HDD. i also have another SATA HDD for storage. my system identifies HDD #2 correctly but it did not assign a drive letter to it. so right now - FDD is drive A, raptor is drive C, and dvd burner is drive D. i want to make make HDD #2 as drive D. how do i do it?
2) i also have 2 optical drives - one Lite-On SATA DVD-Burner and one Lite-On EIDE DVD-ROM. the system did not identify the EIDE DVD-ROM at all. (good that i had at least one optical drive to load the OS!) what might be wrong? i re-checked all connections. i used the Ultra DMA 133/100/66 cable that came with my ASUS motherboard to connect it. the power is connected, and so is the 4-pin CD audio cable. how can i find out out what is wrong, before taking it back to Tigerdirect?
