I won that card and in windows and games it has artifacting. I tried downclocking it with powerstrip but it's still there. I emailed seller telling them to paypal me $5 if they want it back. I'm just gonna dispute the charges with my bank. Am I right or wrong here?

Just send it back to him first. Then expect he fulfill your shipping charges because it was his fault. Or just give him negative feedback. If you're afraid he'll retaliate, just make sure that you contact eBay and tell them what happened.

He clearly stated it was in fine working condition, so its not your fault.

Exactly what I was going to say... sometimes (especially if you have an AMD system) you need to install new chipset drivers.

You're going to dispute the Paypal charges with your bank before you even hear back from the seller? You're an idiot. Not only will you ruin your paypal account, but you're going to affect your ebay account as well... all because you were too impatient to wait for a response.

you could try getting older drivers for it (the video card itself). I have a GF3 that I got OEM with a gateway computer a while ago that if I try to run any detonator drivers over 29.42, it doesn't work. The screen keeps the default Windows desktop blue color when it should bring up all the icons, and windows loads fine (I hear the wav file that plays on login), I just can't see anything.

Worth a try..

why dont you quit bitchin and try the god damn card on another machine, with Intel Pentium of course, if it works, it's not his fault. It's yours.

dude........
you are wrong. When product is faulty its responsibility of seller to replace or repair it, but telling seller to pay shipping is insane. Shipping cost is not involved in deal, its you who must pay for full shipping unless on site warranty is provided, be patient, it takes weeks to get your product replaced.
If you act in despiration it wont help you. you will earn bad image.
from what i see the buyer from which you got the card is honest dealer, look at his feedback.......He will replace the card, dont worry just wait.

one more thing, did you read auction? It says you get 3 days to test and after that there is no warranty, did you let him know this in time?

It also said you have three days to test it. You can't just go around making up your own terms when it's clearly specified. And ebay will not help you with feedback issues either.

The auction just ended 4 days ago, so I'm guessing he let the guy know in time. He doesn't have to go all Nazi with disputing the charges though, give the guy a chance to respond.
