First Attempt At Networking

I read the FAQ, I have TCP/IP and NetBEUI installed on both machines. The "Primary Network Logon" is set to for "Client For Microsoft Networks". Both machines have the same Workgroup name (WORKGROUP) and each machine has a unique name. File and printer sharing are enabled. Printer is set to be shared. When I go into "Network Neighborhood" (which is where I assume I would go to see the other machine) only my machine is listed along with "Entire Network" which has nothing in the folder. Both machines are Win 98SE What did I miss? TIA
Edit
Maybe I need a "Domain name"? If so, can I just pick one or does it have to be something specific?

You do not need a domain name.
Make sure that you are not running a firewall on either one, or at least make SURE that any firewalls you may be running do not block LAN traffic.

Another thing you may need to do (I'm not sure, but try) is to assign internal IP addresses to your LAN NICs. For example, assign one machine the IP 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0, and the second one 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0.
Try that.

Where do you assign the IP's? 😱
And it's asking for the Domain when I start the machine.

Ah, that domain. It shouldn't ask you this unless you have an NT server that will validate the user/pass for that domain.
What you should do is go into your Network properties, then:
1) click the "Client for Microsoft Networks", click Properties, and uncheck the Log on to the domain checkbox.
2) Click okay, then click on TCP/IP for the LAN NIC and assign it the IPs I mentioned in the first post.

That should do the trick.
