well was gonna have a little contest to do this:


You've got to use old pc parts to design a device to launch cd's in the air, to a distance so they could be theoretically shot like skeet.
You know how some floppy drives and zips can fling a disk across the desk/ out of the drive, maybe you could get 20 ft out of a cd...

If you can cut apart a case for stuff go ahead. NO diesel engines, gas engines, tv parts.


Be smart not stupid, try to make something that is powered on levers and pulleys, I want people to stick to PC parts because they are very unlikely to get you killed.

If you want to use a scanner ok, if you want to use like a set top dvd, or cd player with a spindle to feed the device..... and you can, sure... what else could you possibly think of.

Try to stick with a pc power supply if you need power, or maybe old laptop batterys.

I have no spare parts

I can hardly afford the parts I have and any spare time/money usually goes to the wife or my daughter.

I would love to play trust me.

I just bought a house and we move in less than 2 weeks from now so that will keep me busy with packing.
