Got it for mom as a Christmas present. Played around with it on my own for a couple weeks.

Hardware is the best the Curve line has ever seen, but thats not saying much since the Curve is their smaller, slower lineup. Screen is gorgeous but feels tiny compared to modern smartphones. Still gets the job done. You can see all your emails and stuff, no problem. Keys feel great. Side buttons are nice too, much better than my moms 8330. Battery life is phenomenal. I got 9 days with all the radios off, and 6 days (maybe 6 and a half) with all the radios on, that includes the NFC.
GPS picks up a signal quickly. Wifi is solid and fast.

OS7 is beautiful and very smooth. Easier than ever to find all your important settings and apps. It is just evolutionary, not revolutionary. Serious BB fans will certainly appreciate the improvements in hardware and software, but I dont think people in love with their favorite platform will see any reason to switch over. Folks who got used to full screen touch devices may feel like they are moving backwards.
Good starter smartphone for teens if you dont want them spending money in an App store.

My mother will definitely love it as her only experience is with Blackberry's and her law firm needs her to use BB Exchange. Build feels slightly more solid than her old device, hopefully she wont abuse this one.

I liked my blackberry when I had it, but the whole mouse thing on phones seems out of date.
