I am about to build my first AMD Duron system, (Epox 8kta-2 Mobo) and was wondering what 4 in 1 drivers to use? Version #? Do I install them all, or only certain ones? I am an AMD/VIA virgin as all my previous builds have been Intel based. Any and all advice is a big help.
Thanks Guys!

I had problems with them... the 4.25's. Anyway, they should be fine, any version, the Busmaster drivers might cause problems, so I suggest you not install those. But then again, other people have had positive experiences.

Remember to install them right after the OS install and before anything else so if you have any problems, formatting won't be such a big pain.

I always use 4.28 and never get any problems. I have 4 VIA systems. Some have reported some kinda trouble with 4.28 - I have no idea why?!

I`ve used both 4.25a & now 4.28 drivers,no problems with either so take your pick.

I only install the IRQ Routing, and AGP drivers...I've heard the other drivers of the 4in1 set don't do as good as job as the built in Win drivers. Anyone else hear similar?

as for the busmasters...I install em(win98SE)......There not faster than windows drivers.....I don't install them for a performance increase.....I think it depends on ur sys specs you need to benchmark with\without to find out for sure... for me they were about the same...

They seem to be more stable for me.... so I use them

As for the agp drivers.....depends on ur vid card

What OS ru using.......?
