First Alpha of Ubuntu 8.04 'Hardy Heron' released

I'd stay away from Ubuntu alpha's unless you plan on fixing bugs, they're pretty bad from what I've heard about past releases.

It's alpha, what would you expect?

It's going to go through a heck of a lot of changes though before April, so I see no reason to download it unless you are a developer.

I didn't plan on installing it, though I might DL it to see if my Inspiron 531s actually work with it. They don't with 7.10, even trying the alternative install disk results in the same error. Those boxes are running FC8 at the moment, so its not a biggy.

It is an Alpha, so you can't fault Canonical for it being buggy, its supposed to be. If other devs have bug free alphas, then good for then, but the point of an alpha is to test the builds, stability, etc.
