First 16 GB DDR4 Server Modules are out

I'll start the bidding at approx. 300$ per module. Right now you can get 1066 and 1333 DDR3 16GB modules for about 180-200$ a piece. Never has been a better time to be memory centric. Just did a 192GB kit via 12 16GB modules and it was only about 2,100$. Judging the price of RAM in 1999 I say that's some amazing technological progress.

It also is set to expand the overall premium memory market with its most advanced 20 nm-class based DDR4 DRAM products, which will be available sometime next year at densities up to 32 GB.

Wonder if well see those densities in the consumer market... would love to see a 128gb ramdisk with 4 sticks 😀
