I currently use firmware version 1.14. I've noticed that the latest one is 1.18. I was wondering if I should upgrade. BTW, the burner is working ok at this time.

to tell you the truth if your burner is working fine there's no reason to update the firmware at all,so i suggest you leave it be & enjoy your great working burner as is. 🙂
 
Yes, that's exactly what I thought. I asked because I read that sometimes a firmware upgrade will improve media compatibility at certain speeds and so on...

Crazy man. I was just updating firmware on that exact same drive because of compatability issues. I saw this post, and had to reply. I thought for a second maybe you were from my job or something. lol.
