firmware hack for seagate 5gb ST1 microdrive? (FW 3.04)

I have a 5gig seagate ST1 microdrive pulled from an mp3 player. Apparently they wised up and put a new firmware on the hard drive making it inaccessible outside of the mp3 players.

This drive has firmware version 3.04. are there any kind of hacks or anything I can do on this to make it operate normally?
