On the way home from a 4th of july BBQ I was on a 3 lane road with a speed limit of 55 and the entire road was stopped. Nearby they were having a fireworks demonstration and the entire two right lanes were completely frozen. The left lane moved around a foot every 10 seconds or so. For god's sakes it wasn't like this was some organized event with roadblocks or anything. People just decided to stop. There was some type of sidewalk near the place and I could see people standing there. It wouldn't have mattered if they had parked far away and walked but just parking there is Bullshit!. It took like 15mins to get through a section which should take like 2mins!

People are idiots.

I was driving through Yellowstone a couple days ago. On one of the one-way roads I had a similar mind blowing incident. A family decided to stop to look at some hot springs. The problem? They parked in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. With all the doors on the vehicle wide open. They couldn't have blocked the road any better without physically parking perpendicular to it. And then when I pulled up they look at me like I was crazy that I couldn't get by.
