Fireworks like crazy - it's like the 'Return of the Jedi' finale out here

Portland, OR, here. Fireworks going off fairly regularly. Nothing organized, but lots of individuals setting them off.

Honestly, an unexpected response. Obviously, Oregon is very 'blue', and Portland the center of that, still...

...one gets the feeling if there were any statues, they'd be getting pulled down.

A) Actual person to blow the Death Star up in 'Jedi' and end the reign of the Empire.
B) His gibbering sidekick. Seriously. WTF was that guy saying? I don't think ANYTHING he said was intelligible. Everybody around him just acted like they knew what he was talking about, but I'm betting it was just random grunting. Just like that dude in 'Jedi' in the cockpit with Lando! :laugh:
