AT'ers I'm looking for ideas to store firewood in a 2'x2' corner in my shed. I realize I can't store much but I'd like an emergency supply that's always dry incase unexpected company stops by or there is a power failure in the winter.
I know I won't be able to store much its just a reserve. I was thinking building a small bin against the corner maybe 3 or 4 feet high and stack it up.
Its too dark for a picture I can post tomorrow if needed. Anyone have a creative suggestion?

Why not just use a rubbermaid bin? Costco had some last weekend that were a decent size and cheap...$10??

I wanted something cooler and maybe a mini afternoon project type thing. I saw some metal posts that used 2x4's to size to whatever width you want but they were kind of short and expensive $40

2'x2'? Find a new subdivision, and raid the containers on site for scrap lumber. It's free, environmental, and you get to build something.

Just stack it, and alternate the pattern to make kinda like a jenga block tower. Assuming it's split you should be able to interlock the logs decently so it will be a nice compact solid stack. I would not use any kind of plastic bin, it will just trap any moisture that may be left. May as well make sure they can continue to dry off over time.
