Is it possible to build your own firewire or USB cables. I need to put up a couple of security cameras and the PC will be approximately 40 feet away. I've not seen either of these in this length nor do I think I would want to pay the price if I did.
I'd prefer to go wireless, but I've not heard anything good about this and I'm wanting decent picture quality.
Any recommendations on cameras/video capture equipment would be appreciated also. I'm wanting to record the video on the computer so I can have it roll off every day or so. I only need the video if something happens to the house/vehicle.
