Firewire tester: is there such a thing?

Is there anything I can use to test the front port firewire connector on my case? I want to know if I connected the leads to the motherboard correctly. I'm a little hesitant in connecting anything expensive to the port because the last time I did one lead was connected to the wrong pin and I shorted out my Nomad Jukebox Zen.

TIA

yea, but it isn't that easy to do, given the design of the socket and the size of the pins.

er... as long as it shows up in your system devices, it's connected... Right?

I must admit I'd share bluntman's reluctance to toast any appliance with a dose of voltage on the wrong pins.

Well, I have one firewire built into the motherboard... two on an add in backplate, well, one firewire and one i-link... and one on my Audigy 2. THere's wires for one for the front case panel, but I have no motherboard headers left.... I own zero firewire devices, and can't think of many things that can use it.
