firewire problems with PC

I've tried reinstalling XP, installed a different firewire card, and still not one single firewire device will connect or be recoginized by my computer. Any ideas?

I've tried the firewire devices on other computers, and they all work fine. Also, Device Manager shows that the original firewire card and newly installed card both are working properly.

Try a different PCI slot, which will put it on a different interrupt.

Ok, I will try that . . . But I already have 2 firewire cards installed now, in 2 different PCI slots, so I'm not sure if that would make a difference.
