Firewire HD Enclosures Max Capacity

Hi--

Can someone tell me the maximum size hard disk drive (GB) that will be recognized by Firewire IEEE1394A with 6 pin connector?

Same thing for IEEE1394B?

Same thing for USB 2.0

The limit would be on the file system and the OS, wouldn't it?

I don't know. I read somewhere that Firewire could only recognize drives up to some limited size.

That's really the question. FWIW the OS is Mac X Panther running on a G4 Sawtooth. On the installed HDDs that system only recognizes a MAX of 120 GB. But I believe that is a function of the IDE controller, which would not be involved with the Firewire drive.

I'd like to install a 160GB HDD in a Firewire enclosure. The question is will all 160GB be recognized?
