Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before, couldn't find it with search.

I'd like to have an ext. enclosure with firewire, ethernet, USB 2.0(as a bonus), but it seems that you can either get 1394 or ethernet, but not both on the same case. Does anyone know why this is?

Plextor makes an external HDD with NAS, Firewire and USB 2, . So, someone makes that case for them.

NAS

In searching, look for a NAS case. What would be better than Firewire or USB 2 would be a eSATA with NAS.

I was wondering the exact same thing. USB2 is just not as fast as firewire for sustained transfers. Please let us know if you find anything.

Update: Newegg actually has a few enclosures with esata and ethernet support. Too bad that they start at $250.
