Fireware card to USB 2.0 Ipod Shuffle

I have a Dell desktop with XP pro and an installed firewire card. The ipod shuffle I just bought has a built in USB which requires USB 2.0. Can I buy a firewire to USB cable which will work the shuffle or is my only option to buy a USB 2.0 card? Thanks for any help!

i would imagine you have usb 1.1 right? you can use the shuffle with that. granted you loose speed but a shuffle is at max a gig.

I don't think an adapter exists. I could be wrong however.

Adapters do exist, but they're not cheap and probably don't work great. I would recommend going on ebay and buying a combo Firewire/USB PCI card for cheap.

You have a shuffle so the max size is 1GB which wont be too bad on usb 1.1 which Im sure you have
