Hello,

Just the other day, something changed on either my computer or my roomates computer that has made it impossible for me to use any p2p software. It has worked fine for as long as I can remember, and now it just doesn't. Every attempted download fails. My roomate is connected directly to the net via a cable modem. He's running as an ICS host and I'm connected directly to his computer as a client. I am also running Zone Alarm Pro 3.x. Which settings should I look at to possibly remedy this problem? btw, my roomate has no problem connecting to any p2p networks, its just my machine with the problem.

Thanks

Are you sure your IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are setup correctly?
Your IP Address should be unique but in the same network based on the subnet mask.
The default gateway should be your roomate's machine's IP address.

If that still doesn't fix things, try turning off Zone Alarm and see if it works. If it works then you will have your tweak the settings so that the port Kazaa uses is not firewalled.

Those p2p networks use different ports for control and data flow, right?
