Firewall

My computer has some kind of firewall turned on, and it is keeping my from accessing newegg with Firefox nd PC pitstop, and Lime Wire says it detect a firewall but i dont know what its talking about

Any suggestions?????????

look into your control panel and see if you can disable windows firewall...

That's if you have sp2.

Windows firewall is disabled, right? Do you have any other security apps? Norton or TrendMicro? Maybe some other antivirus or spyware app that may include a firewall? If you can get to it from IE but not from Firefox, it must be some software issue on your computer since the router will only see either as port 80 traffic, and your modem doesn't care what the traffic is or where it is going - it is either working or it's not, there is no some working and some not working.

Can you browse other sites with Firefox? What kind of error or message are you getting when you try going to Newegg?
