Firewall

My computer has some kind of firewall turned on, and it is keeping my from accessing newegg with Firefox nd PC pitstop, and Lime Wire says it detect a firewall but i dont know what its talking about

Any suggestions?????????

Which OS? Is this a PC you built or a Dell or something?

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Security Center > Windows Firewall

Thats if you have Windows XP with SP2.

It could be either of the following:
Windows XP firewall
A firewall built into your ADSL modem assuming you have ADSL and not 56k

Some late chipsets, such as the Nforce, have hardware firewalls that must manually ve turned off.
