I'm not having much luck searching around the internet. Try to explain what I'm looking for. I want to build a computer to serve two purposes:
(1) open file server for other computers in the lan.
(2) set up for remote access and the person connecting in would have access to just the internet and one other computer on the network.
I can easily set up either of those items, but I would rather have one computer, one power bill. It doesn't have to be secure at all, I fully trust the person who will be connecting in, but I'm still not going to make full network access openly available. Basically, if there were a firewall software that had per-user settings that would be perfect, but it seems most are one setting for all users.
Thanks.
