Firewall questions (s)

...so be gentle. Anyway, I have a Linksys Broadband Firewall Router (model BEFSX41), and my question is: how can I tell it is working? When I had used Zone Alarm in the past, as well as my old nVidia firewall, there was a page in the interface showing ingoing and outgoing transactions. In the web based interface for the Linksys router, there is a log thaat you can view only if activity was blocked. The firewall is enabled through the interface, so I assume it is working. I went to the Shields Up! website and passed all their tests with flying colors as far as stealth goes. So has there just not been activity because my IP address has remained invisible to those that would exploit it?

Sorry if these are n00bish, but my caveat under the subject says it all.

The Router Firewall is On by default otherwise it will not Route.

However the Router Firewall does not monitor each computer's In and Out traffic, it is only monitoring the staff that might come Uninvited from the Internet and blocks it.

You need much more than a Router?s Firewall to protect your self.
