Firewall, Applicance, Home Users, Opinions & Cable Modems..

I'm currently using an old method of firewall...

Due to space constrant, I"m moving towards Applicance firewall ie SonicWall, Netscreen, etc.etc. that fits in a 1u rack space

Several home user are using SMC / Linksys routers for their cable modem...

I like to get a decent applicance for the main office and a smaller applicance for the remote office and either a software or a smaller unit for the cable modem users..

I remember there was some issue of using a sonic wall behind a router like SMC/Linksys or just use the sonic wall applicance instead of the SMC/Linksys to share the cable modems...

I also want the firewall appliance to do some sort of content filtering, virus scan if possible and bandwidth throttle

Any opinon on setup or strategy would be appreciated.. I also get great feedbacks here.. recommendations, etc.etc.
