Scott Bell, 36, from Great Orton near Carlisle, received minor burns during the attempt two weeks ago.
The trained firewalker completed a 250ft walk, 30ft more than the previous record, during a charity event in Carlisle on 28 January.
A subsequent 10-night hospital stay has failed to douse his enthusiasm.
