Firewaire External Enclosures...

I am thinking about putting my Plextor DVD burner in to one of those External Enclosures...

Will it be fast enough to burn DVDs in full speed that the drive can support??
 
I use this one with a Plextor. Firewire burns a disk about 2 min faster than usb2. I like the fact that I can hook it up to almost any computer. Have all the combination of cable/ends.

do you knwo if they have that in black? cuz my plextor is black.
 
You want black? This is one of the best 1394 enclosures around. I have several of them.
