Firerfox Download Manager not working.

All of a sudden the Firefox download manager seems to have disappeared. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

You mean the window no longer pops up, or that when it pops up, it is blank?

It no longer pops up. It just displays two icons on my desktop, and when the download is complete there is one icon.

In the Options, Main section, is the "Show Downloads window when downloading a file" checked?

If it's not, then check it.

If it is, try uncheking and rechecking it

That didn't work.

You need to delete the file downloads.rdf. It will be under C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. It is hidden by default so you might have to check "show hidden files" in the tools-folder options-view menu in windows explorer. I was having the same problem after the last update and this fixed it.

I honestly hate that addon, I'd rather have a pop-up window than a status bar that eats up browsing space. But maybe it's just me.

Also, I've only used it when it first came out, it's probably better now. It looks like it auto-hides when not in use - something it didn't use to do.

Anyways, for Vista it is in a folder like:

C:\Users\(Your Name)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\zig1tbfi.default
