Let me start off by saying I have been using IE for years. I have read a lot about FireFox and finally decided to give it a shot. Well I downloaded it last night and got Pimpzilla as a theme and I couldn't be happier. The tabbed browsing is so easy to use and the rest of it will seem very familiar if you used IE. The pop ups I got at some of my sites are all gone now, the browser looks cool, and everything is quicker, cleaner, and more efficient. If you have even for a second considered switching, do not hesitate to do so. To think of all the time I wasted on IE....:brokenheart:

Firefox isn't perfect, but overall, it does seem to be one of the best browsers, if not the best :)

Glad to see you like it.

I've been a happy user of FF for quite awhile now but lately have been having some issues and am thinking about trying out Opera. My problem is that about half the time I try to open Firefox it loads but a window never appears and I hate to ctrl-alt-delete kill FF rinse/repeat. I guess I could always just uninstall/reinstall but problems like this are what allow for trying new things. :)

Only thing I've noticed with FF is that not all pages display correctly, and when highlighting text/images on a page, they display incorrect output.

correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't you used to argue for the superiority of IE? maybe I have you mixed up with someone else.

glad to see you've made the change. you're safer for it anyway...

You have me confused with someone else.

I don't surf a whole lot, so I never bothered to try out FF. Recently I have developed other interests and the corresponding sites have popups, so I decided to try FF. I don't see it as far & away superior to IE, but it has a couple of nice improvements that I like. I would really appreciate if we could stay away from the trolling & fanboism, thanks. I posted this for other people who may be considering trying it out. Using this does not make me enlightened anymore than you building your 'puter does. It does make for some quicker surfing and more convenient use in some ways though. It does have a couple of drawbacks though.

I also have firefox and am pretty happy with it ... only thing still wrong is it will not do rich text mail on Yahoo Mail
Also when I use Dell forums, the various format & other icons on the post reply screen are not there

Not sure if this is their problems or with Firefox .. hopefully they fix it soon .. otherwise great

Funny, I eventually gave in to FF...a few times, actually...and felt the exact opposite. Offered me nothing and was annoying at best. :)

I am a pretty hardcore FireFox user as well. I use Firefox for general browsing and Opera for any time I need to download (the download manager works much better if the connection breaks). I only open IE if I'm getting updates.
