Ok, Firefox was working beautfully for the past 5 months; a few crashes, but nothing that bad. I wake up today, and now it won't open. I click on the shortcut, the little vista green circle loads for 2 seconds, and then stops. I click it again, same deal. I click it in programs, same f**king deal. I looked at task manager to see if it was running in the background maybe, nope. 3 Reboots, nope.

NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!!???

I have my favorites saved up to 2 weeks ago but I have several important bookmarks which I cannot lose (the addresses are confusing as hell, don't ask).

I've always been a mozilla loyalist for the past 3 years, in spite of 5 or 6 failures along the way - but this is beyond me!!!

Aside from reinstalling the mother f**ker, what other options do I have?!

In the event that I do have to ref**kinginstall, is there an easier way to import saved bookmarks? I have 300+ and adding them in individually would take many hours.

THIS IS BULLS**T!!!!

I even bought their f**king shirt.

I WILL BUMP THIS UNTIL ANSWERS COME!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!

I don't think reinstalling Firefox would lead to a problem with bookmarks, but I will add on how to back them up anyway. Bookmarks are stored in bookmarks.postplaces.html or bookmarks.html in your profile folder. On Vista (I haven't used it for a while, got rid of it!), I believe that would be "X:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Profile\", X being your drive, Username being your username, and profile being the name the profile is on your computer. If you make a copy of bookmarks.postplaces.html/bookmarks.html (depending on Firefox version), you'll be able to put them back into your profile folder after a reinstall.

It does sound like an all too common Vista problem. Firefox has worked flawless for me and I'm even using 3.0b2.

It think it's vista too, but firefox should have accommodated for the nearly year old operating system.

I opened it in safe mode, closed, then opened regular - now it works.

Wtf is this?
