Firefox won't start in Ubuntu

Hi. I have Ubuntu for netbooks installed on a laptop. However, firefox will suddenly not start up. If I use command it says "could not find compatible GRE between version something something"

How should I go about fixing this?

And how did you install firefox? Did you use the package that came with Ubuntu?

I guess you could try this:

sudo xulrunner-1.9 --register-global
